I don't remember
too much of either of the two opening acts, I was out socializing
with friends and bands of the scene who I had not seen in
a while. Anyways, Finch hit the stage first. The sound was
not great, but it did the job. Sometimes it was difficult
to tell which song was being played. For some reason, Finch
live, distorts all their songs so they all sound so similar.
There was still lots of energy packed into the building. It
was a sold out show, and you could tell. When The Used hit
the stage, it seems like the energy bursted into so much more
than you could ever imagine. Everyone was screaming along,
and pounding around in the pits. The 19+ section was flooded
with stunned fans. The Used was playing so well, and they
loved it here in Toronto. I love both The Used and Finch,
and to think that they played together all in one night. Anyone
who missed this show, missed out on a very unforgetable night.
So much anger, emotion, and great talent put together. Check
out either of the two bands this year at the Van's Warped
Tour.
